Two weeks ago I told you the next episode would be behind a paywall. It isn't. That is the smallest thing I got wrong in that stretch and it is the easiest one to fix. The articles are free, the podcast is free, and it stays that way.

This one is about running. I spent two weeks moving almost constantly. Software, the heaviest publishing week this thing has ever had, a writing method tested on real people, a business idea chased all the way down to the numbers. Every one of them came back with an answer. Not one of them was the answer I went looking for.

I finished an audiobook called Vibe Coding and found out what I actually cannot do. I stopped a project that was working. I took a rule off my own writing that I had invented myself and then obeyed for two weeks.

And somewhere in the middle of it I noticed I am not waiting to become a creator any more. I am already here, and part of being here is disappointing. Both of those are true at the same time and I am not going to tidy that up.

What is in it

  • Two weeks I cannot put back in order
  • The paywall correction
  • Vibe Coding, and what it cost to hear it
  • Coming home to a broken thing, three days running
  • So what am I, then
  • Told to be direct, and what I built instead
  • Antiphon, and the rule that stopped it
  • I already got here
  • Two questions
  • The door
