The ache was real. The home was never gone

A tarot spread that takes the practice seriously. A library of the texts the modern world stopped reading. Field notes from the inside, not the academic outside.

The Soup every other Thursday. Field Notes Wednesdays and Sundays. From the day shift.

The Three-Card Spread

Tarot, taken seriously

About the tarot →

The cards are a translation problem. The job is to slow the sentence down before the action. Present-tense. Built to be used, not admired.

The Grey Zone, playable

No Wrong Place. A living maze

Enter the maze →
No Wrong Place — a Grey Zone game

A free browser game with no side to defeat and no safety either. A shifting maze of black and white beings, breathing between opposites. The walls move. Stone falls, water rises, and lives here run short: they begin, end, and continue on the same ground, carrying everything they gathered. Up to seven places can remember you. What you do leaves a permanent Trace on a board of made-up names, and a guided passage teaches the whole of it in ten minutes. There is no wrong place to be. Works with one finger or one mouse. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

The Back Room

Ten chairs. One table

Stand at the door →

A private room for paid subscribers to sit down, speak freely, and make something together. Scheduled gatherings, real chairs you choose, one shared table, and however long the work takes.

Inside the Zone

Nine rooms of the unusual

Field Notes

From the inside, not the academic outside. About the things the culture has decided are not serious, and which keep being serious anyway.

No Wrong Place

A living maze you can actually walk. A free browser game of black and white beings breathing between opposites. Lives run short here, and the walk always continues. No wrong place, no final balance. The idea the whole site runs on, made playable, and still being built.
